A DirectX 10 card should be able to run that game no problem.
This is what Colin McLaughlan (aka Kaadin), the Director of Technology at CME, had to say about this:

Unreal 3.0 uses DX 9 and pixel shader 3.0 cards. Right now we are working on making sure this scales backwards to earlier cards too.
is there any way you could simplify that because i have no idea what u just said im new pt PC games im on my 360 more so i don't know much about PC gaming
I would gladly pay to play this game. but only if it's worth the money. something that sucks AND requires you to pay wouldn't go for long...
i hope it's really good.

DirectX 10 is exclusively for Windows Vista, Microsoft's new OS. The game will run with DirectX10 and DirectX 9 witch is on mainly Windows XP based pc's.
What Bunty was quoting or saying is, The game will run on both DirectX 10 and 9 Computers.
Hopefully that's not more confusing, If you have windows xp or vista and a decent graphics card you can play the game.
i am go play the game so mmuch that i will need to gat new fingers
... So said Deline before the Battle of Ages. He spoke to the sky and said, 'And the people shall deliver unto you the wicked for your divine judgement, where their sins shall be weighed in the balance of all that is just and true.'
There isn't a firm release date, and the devs wouldn't say when the game is scheduled to be released in a recent interview. The current thinking is early to mid 2008, but that's just a guess

Okay.
DirectX 9 - really good gaming drivers.
DirectX 10 - really really good gaming drivers.
DirectX 10 will allow for sharper textures, as well as a sharp increase in geometric detail with shaders, calculations, etc.
