Hope it's okay to do this - there's another thread with reviews of all the books. I just thought I'd post the link here in case anyone hasn't seen it and wants to check them out.

Yeah, my fault for posting all my reviews for the books in a new thread. I originally wrote them for the Sam/AT thread, I was trying to figure out which of the books the Sam fans would like. But it took so much effort to do, I thought they might appeal to a wider audience too, hence the other thread.

Nah, don't apologise. I think it's great you took the time to do the reviews.

It's ambitious, it's suspenseful, it's funny, it's really frightening. Hands down, it's a tremendous, tremendous story. Incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, true sf.

I know, I know, this sounds like an author blowing smoke. But truly reely, I'm not. I only say what I really think, and I think this is a fantabulous achievement.

I'd also like to acknowledge the feedback Sabine gave me on Do No Harm, which was incredibly insightful. Sometimes it's easy to think that authors do this stuff on their lonesome, but more often than not, no. We have wonderful input from beta readers and editors, and they help us to make our work far far better than it would be without their observations. It can be tough hearing the critical comments from an editor or reader, but if we're smart we know that the purpose of that feedback is to make us a better writer. I'd be far poorer without the comments my drafts have received -- and I think the unsung heroes of the process should be sung to, very loudly!
Holy guacamole! I go away for a bit, and see what happens! Thank you, Karen! BTW, those shiny red things currently lighting up the Canadian west coast are my ears.

And don't make it sound like reading Do No Harm was work. I had a blast! What can I say? Janet Fraiser digging in her heels. In a big way. And a fabulous, very clever perspective on SG-1... and I'm not gonna say anything more. Go out there and get it, folks!

As for the insightful observations, right back atcha, girl!

In other news, I guess it's official now, so you heard it here first. Oh, and Gate Geek?! Listen up! Drinks in August I'll be at Gatecon, signing books, answering questions, and, if it all pans out, doing a writers' workshop. Which I'm really, really excited about!! Wheeeeeeeee!!!

Mine too! Definitely! You being one of my favourite authors goes way back before the Fandemonium books, and it will be great to meet you face to face and getting an autograph and talking about writing!

I wondered for a long time now whether there will be any authors present at gatecon. Hope there are enough hours in the day for all the things I want to do and see and experience!

can you pay my way there?! *littlekittenwithhugeeyeshere* my mom says that if I can get someone to pay my way there I can go, sadly my friends are going but the car is ful I hate flying on planes and prefer to drive to be personal about the problem, heck I even told Jennifer, "I'll ride on the roof!" and my dad said (clearly to kill the joke) "no"

I really wanna go to it!!

Does anyone have any updates to publication dates? Sounds like there are a few fantastic books "out there" and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

It's so cool Sabine's going! I am so jealous! I'm jealous of everyone who can get there!

Ah well ... maybe next year.

As far as pub. dates are concerned, Do No Harm is out in May, and I believe Mirror, Mirror is an August release, but I could be off with the pixies. It wouldn't be the first time.

As for Do No Harm, thanks, Sabine. But I still wish I had the kind of brain that could think up something like Mirror, Mirror.

Here's a teasery hint for DNH, btw -- think Colonel Dave Dixon.

Just by ways of an update: currently up to my ears in the revision of Mirror Mirror--wheeeeeeee! --which, as Karen mentioned above, is due out in August. August 1, to be precise.

And seeing as I promised it a while ago: there's now an extract up on my website, for anyone who's interested. Click on the Mirror Mirror cover.

Yes. I do have a website now.

You can thank Sonny for that one, 'cos without her riding to the rescue I'd never have managed to upload the sodding thing. BTW, you've got no idea how snazzy she looks flying through cyberspace in that sparkly superhero-suit of hers

                        Whaddya mean? URL?

                              OMG! Poor Elizabeth.

And nice website! I like the thing with the quotes. Made me immediately want to read more (guess that was the goal after it, so it worked )

I have to disagree with one thing, though I like (or at least used to like) the stickers that much that I was collecting them and sorting by country, color and shape. I even had lots of friends collecting for me as well.

I can't complain about bad spots, since I only was going to the supermarket, took the stickers off, and left the fruit there for others to purchase
