{Dr. Jennifer Keller}
Listening to what Karina had to say, Jennifer felt she couldn't add anything of worth. After all, she'd been crawling on her belly to get a decent view of the cave the kids had holed up in, and trying to talk them down. At the moment she served no purpose, and she was totally aware of her absence from the infirmary. If it hadn't been for the issue of what they were to do with the kids, that's where she would have been.
"Mr. Woolsey." Keller called the base commander's name over the top of the others conversation. "Look, I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have got to find somewhere for the children." Taking a deep breath, she swept on and answered his earlier question. "I have no idea if the Genii have a ship, as I was too far away from the rest of the team when the amubush started. Karina might have the intel on that."
A silence fell in the small office, and she fidgeted, nervous, hoping she hadn't overstepped the mark. Military matters were sometimes an enigma to her, and she always felt uncomforable about swinging the conversation towards what she saw as important.
