Not much of a turnout for this one

Isn't it a holiday weekend in the US?

I missed the first round because I wasn't home for the weekend and couldn't listen to all the themes.

Umm those people not liking the voiceovers, well I just ignored the voiceover bits and listened to the actual music. Some quite good music there if you can manage to ignore the voice over.

I haven't decided what I like best yet. Song wise I like Charmed, music wise I like ST: Voyager and music matching the series then Space: Above and Beyond does a good job. Then of course I just love Buffy, so I think I need to do some more listening and deciding.

Thunderstorm, thank you for the link. I didn't realised that is the theme song of GAH, I have that song in my burnt-CD I like the song, but I didn't watch GAH when it was shown, I thought that's just too cheesy

Yep. Memorial Day Weekend. This is actually the 1st time in 17 years that I've been home this weekend. Normally you'd find me in Lansing Michigan at the MediaWest Convention.

OK, I'm trying to listen to these but some of the links are crashing my computer. I'll vote after I figure this out. (Luckily, I remember a lot of the songs.....I'm quickly becoming aware of the quite scary amount of time I spent watching TV as a child!!!!) In that vein, WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE VOTING OUT "THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO"????? I loved that show and the theme song was great! They even used it on an episode of Seinfeld. George put it on his answering machine with the words: Believe it or not, George isn't at home....(I forget some of the words he used)....Where could he be???...(I forget more words). OK, I realize that's not a very compelling arguement since I can't remember his words....but it was dang funny!!!!

And don't worry about me voting for my favorite show - while that might be used for ties, I'll probably be adding Farscape S1 to my list on the next vote. Liked almost everything else about the show but the opening music.

Have to say I agree. The Farscape season 1 theme isn't one of my favorites. I did love the season 3 theme, though. Dunno why they had to go back to the other one for season 4.

Thanks, Angelique, but I saw Thunderstorm's "MyThemes" link and I listened to them all there. (I also just wasted a couple hours listening to all my old favorite tv show songs while I was at it....)

Does anyone who liked the Greatest American Hero theme want to say a few words in tribute?

I was watching that George Lucas special (I don't remember where or when) and they showed William Katt auditioning for the part of Luke Skywalker. CAN YOU IMAGINE?!?!? Also, I remember they changed his character's name after Reagan was shot because the character was named Mr. Hinkley. I don't remember what they changed it to.
In tribute to the song: I already said some stuff, but let's see if I can add anything..... I think they actually played that song on the radio. I know that's a lot more common now, but that was pretty rare in the 80s. Um....let's see....what else.... I guess I liked that song because it kind of told you about the show without having to use a cheesy voiceover. It let you know the show was light-hearted and fun. You could tell the words were actually written to have something to do with the show rather than the show just picking some song that was already out there. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
