You should be able to post in any other thread on the forum, except the RPG-threads. As soon as you're off probie-status you are allowed to join the roleplaying game of your choice. Posts in off-topic, which means every topic found if Off-Topic Chatter doesn't count towards your total postcount.

Though keep in mind, as long as you're on Probie-status, moderators will have to approve your posts so they will lag a little. They'll be postlagged, which you need to keep in mind when joining a fast-pacing discussion. Posts tend to get lost in the maelstrom in that case.
