your post counts determines your rank.

as your rep goes up if you put our mouse over your green blocks it will show you a little tan box that says (username) will take a host one day) that will change as your rep points goes up

I don't think so...if you hardly get any reputation, then the posts should do it for you. However, I think that the reps also help you get there...*shrugs ad grins* that's what i heard, at least.
