Opening a GW e-mail account

I've been trying to sign up for a GW e-mail address but when I go to sign up for the free mail account, I get this message...

The requested URL /email/scripts/free was not found on this server.

Does anyone know of an alternative link, or whether the free account is still available?

That's news to me. I know there's the capability to send emails between members but not a stand-alone email account.

Yeah, I've sent and rec'd e-mails via a GW address. I already have a few e-mail addresses, but what's 1 more right?

EDIT: I did a Yahoo search and found the page.

EDIT: I tried signing up but kept getting a message..'value missing for first name'...

That link works for me. Haven't submitted for a free email though. So if that is when your error appears...

It's not a hoax, I've sent to and rec'd from GW addresses!

Edit: it's from the GW homepage, right at the bottom.

I got it on 2 of the 3. Hmmm, I'll keep trying!

I clicked the 'sign up' and started filling out the info. Then I got an error message. Must be a glitch or something.

I got no error message. I got the login page and no info regarding my login.

I'd been trying to go through Firefox, so I tried through IE and it worked. Could just be a coincidence, but I now have a GW e-mail. *iz happy*

GateWorld Mail is hosted by a third party service, Everyone.net. If folks are consistently having a problem signing up, I can submit a support request.

Look for the link at the bottom of the GW home page, or visit:
