'Probie' Status for New Members

I hate to break it to you, but you are not going to get your permissions until you deserve them.

I understand that nobody likes Probie status, but it is for very good reason, and you just have to accept it. Just positively contribute to the forum by joining in on discussions, behaving properly, and not asking for permissions, and you will be out of probie status in no time and will be a fully-functioning member of the forum . I hope I have helped clear things up for you.

Being real or not doesn't stop someone from becoming a spammer which is why we have the probie status. I can understand probie's frusturation but also consider ours having to go through spamm threads and getting pointless VM/PMs

Well, right now, you can try to help save SGR by making posts in the appropriate threads. As I said earlier, once you prove yourself as a member of the fourm, you will get these privileges. It shouldn't take very long, as long as you follow the rules.

The reason that probies can not add an avatar and signature is because they are often exploited by spammers to spread spam. The point of probie status is so that the spammers are weeded out from the new members so that all members (and lurkers), both old and new, can enjoy the forum.
