I have been learning that about humans hibernating.
This humaniform is experiencing all human conditions and appreciates central air

not here. Closest we've come was 59 days over 100 but that was back in the dust bowl. Our record heat index is around 120. we came close once this year.

now those in the west, they'll get it, might be getting it. Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, it's normal for them.

I know we're not the hottest overall, but we're getting to record breaking levels.

Some work colleagues are in Dubai at the moment - it was 133F there for 4 days in a row last week.

We get a lot of humidity here. so while the air temp may be 98, the heat index - what it feels like - can be 110 or more.

It's the summer version of the wind chill. wind chill is air temp factored in with wind speed to get how cold it really feels like.

We've had up to 80% humidity although it's finally drying out a bit.

the more humid it is, the more slowly your sweat evaporates, so your body can't cool itself.

at least in dubai their humidity is likely 10% or less, so it's a 'dry heat'.

Dry heat actually doesn't feel as hot as humid heat. I've been in the desert at 110 degrees and it felt like 90. Because my heat evaporated quickly. what you have to watch out for hten is that you dehydrate very quickly and you don't even feel it because you don't get wet with sweat.

right now it's 92, we have 47% humidity (the air is at 47% saturation) and it feels like 97)
