How do you tell what number you are. I have been coming to Gateworld since 1999 but ttok a long time to sign up with the forum.

Hover the mouse over your avatar and look down to the left of the bottom status bar in the web browser. At the end of the URL, there is a number at the end that looks like this: u=12102. That is my member number.

Can you look at mine. I don't have a mouse. I have MSNTV2 and loving it. No bugs or viruses or anything messed up. I just can't see what number I am.

that's how many are currenlty signed on 27.000 is the overall number of members but what i was wondering is how many out of 27.000 actaully still post and interact with everyone on gw.

That sounds right. Growth was slow in the beginning. That's how, for the most part, it had become more like a family here. Sure, you have the usual sibling rivalries, but that's what makes it nice here. I guess it was last year when the numbers started to shoot up. All of the others that came to invade our space.

The only way to finds out how many of the 27k actually post frequently you have to see how many of the accounts are past 10 post and post often over a certain period of time. There may be people who never post and just made an account one day (how dare you!) and never posted, and theres also people who might have more than one account, or messed up when setting up an account and made 2 accounts. I'm sure the the people running Gateworld know how many actually active members they are for statistical reasons.
