Snow Angels
She could hear the laughter as she got out of her car and couldn't help but smile. She dropped her shopping bags in the kitchen and walked over to the door to see just what the guys were up to. All three were covered in snow from head to foot and Jack and Daniel seemed to be measuring something on the ground as Teal'c looked on.
She shrugged, walked back to the kitchen, and pulled out the sugar, cocoa, and milk. By the time the guys came back in the house 10 minutes later, she had four steaming mugs of hot chocolate waiting.
Jack walked over and grabbed her face in his cold hands securing a yelp before he kissed her. She smacked his arm as he let her go and turned to Daniel. “So, what exactly were you doing out there?”
“Daniel,” Jack warned.
“Jack,” Daniel challenged back.
“Daniel.”
“Jack.”
“Ack! Knock it off already.”
She shook her head and asked again, “So?”
Jack scowled then looked slightly embarrassed and struggled to explain. “We were trying to see how each of us measured up. Alright?”
“Excuse me?” She grinned at them.
He took her by the shoulders and led her back over to the door. At the foot of the steps she could see three large shapes in the snow.
“Um, what exactly were you measuring, Jack?”
“Wingspan, Sam, wingspan.”
