i think that having it on both forums is a good idea as i dont get to LSA very often. and some people find it easier to navigate GW than LSA (like me)

LS-A is alot easier as there is only a few hundred members and only a few that are really active so I just click new posts and read through them first and then just check out my section to make sure nobody has done anything wrong.

The Thirteenth Challenge

Part I

For the Thirteenth Challenge Part I you will be creating a New Winner Signature
for the challenge winners. The dimensions will have to be 95 pixels in height and 750 pixels in width. Those are the only restricitions for this part so cheers and Happy Photoshoping!

Part II

For the Thirteenth Challenge Part II you will be creating Gunship. There are the normal restrictions and if doesn't have to be for a specific race. But keep it reasonable because you want to be able to win it in the end. All submissions are due on April, 25 2010 at Midnight GMT. If you want to do something and think it's against the rules, go check them out they are on the first post. Cheers and Happy Modeling!

i really like this ship as it is distinctly SG styled compared to your other works and imo you have done very well this time specially detail wise adding panels and other little doodads that makes the whole thing come off great, the only nitpick would be the Kerky renders as imo they will never be able to do your works justice and hopefully some day well see some good renders with a real software from you!

it def shows that it is a SDL/DrLee design and cudoos on having your own style and all that but to me its getting slightly booring as all of you rescent ships are small (midgets) styled painted and made up of the same objects and personally id love to see you try some new styling maybe go bigger and use all new parts and textures, id like to see the level of attention you had during the naval challenge especially the inside of the sub practised on a ship that is alittle larger

I question the effectiveness of the weaponry VS tactics. Translated: if the enemy has shields you're not gonna live.
perhaps it's a bit big for a gunship?

Iron Drive inertia-less Propulsion thrusters
An ion drive works on the principles of inertia. Therefore an inertialess ion drive will not provide thrust.
I also doubt the need for an escort for our capital ships, because their Beam Weapons will mow anything significant out of the way, while the plenty of railguns deals with the rest.
Modern day (in stargate) fighters, like Darts and Death Gliders can not harm our shields anyway.

yay...I personally really like the archeron gunship so im happy it won too.
I am going to start trying to use another render program I just am having trouble learning and remembering how to use it.
