That was terrible! What a poorly written episode, no sense of any storyline, a mindless,baseless, BORING, episode.

I was cringing myself and forcing myself to watch this episode. It was the crappiest premier for a season 2 I have ever seen! The focus on TJ ruined it for me. Where is the "adventure", humour that brad wright was speaking of? I am never ever, believing what Brad wright says from now on, it's all ******** that comes out of his mouth. Is this what people demand these days?

How I saw this basically I can sum up with my usual script

Varro: Yo Dannic some stunt actor just shot up the infirmary....the medic was hit and like eleventy of our people are dead
(Young jumps out at Dannic)
Young: DAMN YOU! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO GET THAT INFIRMARY NEAT AND TIDY!

Eli: OH dear god Rush! Scott and Greer didn-
Greer: YOU HAVEN'T OPENED THE DOOR!
Eli: Right.....
Chloe: Hey i'm all right
Scott: (whisper to Greer) God darn it.

Medic No1: Hey um Telford will survive
Varro: Oh thats great ne-
Kiva: I just died

Dannic: Do we get to kill them yet?
Simeon: Why am I even here?
Varro: Let's keep their scientists, ours fully suck, SHE can't even get anything working
Ginn: Haters gonna hate?
Varro: Hey, you guys remember what they did in the Voyager episode "Basics" right....?

Varro: We're dumping you on some planet we found
Young: Why this planet?
Varro: It was the only one?
Young: No it isn't
Varro: Yes it is

Varro: No it isn- HEY!

Young: Bye ship
Destiny: Please don't come back, you nearly blew me up at least 5 times.

Lucian Redshirt 1: Hey Dannic we found Rush, two fat guys and some hot chick.
Eli: I'm the hot chick right?
Dannic: Keep Rush as I like scottish people, we can cannibalise the rest so kill them.
Rush: (in Obi Wan Kenobi style) But you don't want to kill us.....
Lucian Redshirt 1 and 2: We don't?
Scott: Surprise!

TJ: Hey, dude i almost wanted to date
Caine: Oh please, i'm just here to fill in whilst the rest of the episode goes on.

Telford: Ow
Simeon: I know what you did.....

Simeon: Dammit that usually works, nevermind

Lucian Infirmary Guard: O Shoot
Greer: Should of joined up with us
Scott: Camille what are you doing here?
Camille: None of them can cook.

(Varro and Lucian guys come through gate)
Young: Welcome to Planet Young, we require a tree fiddy entrance fee
Varro: What?
Young: What, who are you?
Varro: Wait umm wh-
Riley: Don't worry, you'll get used to it

Lucian Dude 1: Bang Bang
Scott: Bang, HEY I HIT you
Lucian Dude 1: Dammit
Greer: HEY thats cheating over there you can't sneak up on me, penalty death to you
Lucian Dude 2: Gawd....

Lighting: Kazplam
James: Ow
Young: (raises eyebrow) Get off the floor James what are you sitting down there for
Varro: I see already.....

Rush: Hey Lucian guys guess what
Alliance: what?
Rush: Dannic voted for Obama
(Everyone shoots Dannic)
Alliance: Dammit out of ammo
Rush: haha

Young: Hey guys.....
Destiny: NOOOOOO you let him back you cruel people
Scott: Rush did everything sir, he said Dannic voted for Obama
Young: AND? I voted for him too........

What the hell was that? I was so looking the premier, they finally added a bit of spice and mystery to the season 1 finale of SGU, only to have it ruined with this crap premier(TJ story what really put me off). This has to be the worst premier for season 2 I have ever seen in my 15 years of watching science fiction.

Never believing Brad wright ever again, and no I was actually looking forward to the season 2 premier.

I loved the episode! What happened to TJ broke my heart (again), but I really like how the situation got resolved. Got angst, got emotions, but now there's still some hope.

Hah, I knew this would happen to Chloe!

The pace was a tad too quick, but overall - awesome episode. So glad that SGU is back, and season 2 is off to a strong start.

The pace of the episode was good but the TJ storyline was a HUGE obstruction.

I loved everything about this episode and look to the future of the series with justified enthusiasm!

Some great new characters, Rush owning, Greer let loose in his natural environment, Scott manning up, Chloe finally has an intriguing and interesting purpose (seemingly), Young possibly realising he is not in the best position to be a leader, TJ's baby sublot is very Lost-esque and a welcome addition which i hope to see more of; ambiguous and debatable whether it was real or not and if this matters at all? and lets not forget the amazing score for the opening 10 minutes - best stargate music Ive ever heard, possibly best 10 minutes of score in TV ive ever heard.

Is it perfect? No. But its a damned good step towards getting there!
