That got me to thinking aswell frostwolf. It does sort of imply that the LA have more than one incursion planned?

It was a sarcastic/hypothetical scenario, wasn't it? Like, after something goes pear shaped, you plan for the next possible opportunity, no matter how remote the chances of it happening again are. "Next time..."

This seems to be the simplest answer. Though if one considered the circumstances Destiny may have been launched under and particularly the period in Ancient history, then claims through genetic relation seem somewhat meaningless. I mean the gene code that unlocks the system is probably about the ultimate right, but what that eventually pans out to relate to might indicate much more specific ownership than 'us and our descendants'.

Incredibly weak argument. What does one have to do with the other?

That said, Earth is probably just going to use the technology or secrets to enforce their own will same as the LA, so... *shrug*
The technology is thousands of years outdated... what could they possibly hope to use/extort others with?

Why is everyone jumping over spikes to steal the ship?

The ships is likely far more advanced than anything the Lucian Alliance have access to.

                How so?

They have faster hyperdrive technology... they have Goa'uld ships... stronger shields... ring transporters... cloaking technology...

                Shall I go on?

Them risking their lives to get aboard that ship and take it, is like them risking themselves for a shuttle craft. Sure, it'll be cool to have... but why do they need it?

Huh? Why on Earth would you think that a Ha'tak is faster or has more powerful shields than Destiny? Goa'uld mother ships aren't capable of travelling between galaxies, so we know Destiny is much faster, and I seriously doubt that one could survive flying into a star either. All indications so far are that Destiny is much more advanced than anything the Goa'uld had, and thus the Lucian Alliance have.

We know that Destiny gate address is fixed, its more like a password to open a backdoor in the gate network. The Ancients could have chosen any symbole for the last chevron, cause the point of origine doesnt matter, but they chose Earth. Why? cause thats where it came from, thats their homeworld. Thats where their scientific civilization came to be and thats where they came to die. The Ancients didnt spread human life in the Milky Way, the Goa'uld did. So one could make the argument that everything Ancient related in this Galaxy is part of Earth heritage.

We are the children of the Ancients, other worlds are more like cousins. Sure, they're part of the family, doesnt mean they have a right to what mom and dad left us.

Actually the Ancients created life using the Dakara Weapon

They used it to spread life in general yes, but i dont recall it being used to spread intelligent human life.

Your argument is contradictory. If it was the Goa'uld that spread humans from Earth around the galaxy, then they're all obviously just as related to the Ancients as we are. Not that the Ancients left anything for us in the first place, the fact that we have it is all just incidental.

humanity tends to find things and claim it as their own. simply put, the LA want it, it's technically ancient and since those aren't around it pretty much belongs to anyone.
