LOL, weird co-incidence indeed! Loved seeing him on screen again. I like NCIS so it was double nice for me!!!

However, seeing him made me miss SGU again. I'm really hoping that the wonderful work he did of bringing Colonel Young to life on SGU has opened more doors for him to end up as a main cast member in some new show soon, it was good to see him in a larger role in this episode.

....that he wasn't the killer, he was so lost in grief and played it wonderfully, I wanted to hug him!!! Also felt a bit of dejavu on seeing him drunk and knocking back the the booze again! Would love it if he came back again, or even ends up on the team, they would certainly benefit from his tenacity in case solving!

I'll be honest, when I first saw the first eppie of SGU, my first impression of LF was not very good at all. I just didn't know who he was at the time and I also felt that he really didn't have the screen presence to compete with Robert Carlyle. Perhaps it was because there were no focus on him in the first half of the first eppie. Plus the fact that he was injured coming through the Icarus stargate which threw him out of commission, so really, there was no focus on his character. Remember how vitriolic people reacted at first when Daniel Craig was first announced as the new Bond? And he ultimately proved everyone wrong? It was the same thing here. Only as the show went on that I saw how perfect Louis was for the role and when I rewatched it, how much I seriously underestimated his talents. That was the genius of it. He didn't try to ram the character down our throat.
There is a great fanfiction story that really feels like it's the third season of SGU. The writing is above par and though it involved a relationship between two men, it's not smutty at all. It's more about how they and the crew coped with being on Destiny. Here's the link below:

This is why I totally agree with what you say in that we really didn't know what to expect with him playing a main character on Stargate. I did however like him from the beginning, he was so understated in the way he got himself into things and what a performance in 'Trial and Error'! (Had fun screencapping that ep a while back) It's the expressive eyebrow scrunching and soulful expressive eyes that do it, along with the mussed up hair!

Lovely caps of Louis. I love that last one. The tentative smile, "did I do alright" expression, "am I ok"

I knew I had seen Louis in other things but never connected with him until SGU. Then I had to see everything he was in - am still looking for some material. He's been around twenty-five years or more so some of his work is lost to the ambiguities of time and videotape.

I just LOVED your comment that you've left for CWR! It was really heartbreaking for TJ in that scene. Do you think that in a way, she's still in love with Everett? Does she feel that both men will eventually die or something?

Yes, I think TJ still carries a torch for Everett. In a way, TJ messing with Varro is a safety valve for her. The baby is something that was intensely personal to both of them, then finding out that they had kids on Novus really touched her. Knowing that she has ALS, she doesn't want to become too close to anyone, therefore when she had the opportunity open back up after Novus, she went to Varro instead to try a lessen the hurt Everett will feel when she dies of this disease.

I suspect that whatever whispers she and Rush have had since "Stage Three" have only confirmed in her mind that Everett is much more physically impacted by this thing with Rush and AI than Rush has let on. I do think she believes that both men will either die, be transformed, or unable to return to Earth. They are permanently stuck on Destiny.

That makes a lot of sense. Couples who have lost a baby, especially if it was late term or soon after tends to break up, as the sight of each other reminds each other constantly of the loss. Nonetheless, it makes sense for her to go to Varro if she's trying to lessen the pain to Young based on an alternate timeline. But isn't she cheating herself of what little joy she could get in her remaining time. I mean how many kids did they have on Novus? 3? That itself is a huge accomplishment.

I just finished watching that second season of "Missing". I'm looking around for the third season. I heard that our homeboy, Louis really shined in that season.
