Yes, I know something like this. When I go to bed, I usually read a bit (in a real book, with pages, just saying ) or solve a sudoku, and that's gives me the tiredness to fall asleep. When I'm really tired I have to read the pages again the next day, but that's ok if it's for a good nights' sleep!
