I really wanted to see a sentient being that lived in space or something that only interacted with the ship while in FTL. I'm not talking the Silver Surfer or Q here, but something like that would be cool.

Um....Spock poses superior strength, agility, skill, in armed and unarmed combat compared to Kirk and is a lot smarter. Kirk would never "have his way" with Spock at anything unless logic somehow hindered Spock in the competition.

Our Young had guards on key stations to prevent Rush from sabotague, their Young did not.

Um....Spock poses superior strength, agility, skill, in armed and unarmed combat compared to Kirk and is a lot smarter. Kirk would never "have his way" with Spock at anything unless logic somehow hindered Spock in the competition.

Kirk routinely kicked Spocks butt in chess. Kirk was also superior in unarmed combat (beat Knan), being unwilling to maim or kill spock (a subordinate) gave the advantage to spock (superior strength). Kirk's IQ was probably off the charts (as was Spock's). Kirk possessed many things Spock lacked: guille, impudence, cunning, ruthlessness, etc.
