i was about to ask that myself....i looked it up, and it means wrench.....

A team is assembled, a big one with all sorts of equipment being bundled into the gate room. The team is given a go and its leader gives a very moving speech saying this might well be a one way trip. Apprehensively, they step through into darkness.

Is the title set in stone? I just have this sneaking suspicion that the series title will be Stargate: Destiny.

That could explain why the spanner in the cargo hold never gets found. The engineer who needs it is English and, as the others are all Americans, they have no idea what he/she is talking about. Even better, a couple of the Americans do find it and have a discussion on the lines of should they pick it up. They decide to leave it there, however, because the engineer didn't ask for a wrench.

ROTFL. This is hilarious reading all these replies. I can just see the spanner being found in the final episode...

Maybe it should be called Stargate: Spanner!? Would make about as much sense as anything else.
