The working title of the third Stargate television series has been unveiled! The series currently exists in the form of a one-page treatment of the story and characters, with the title Stargate Universe, executive producer Robert C. Cooper told GateWorld exclusively.

The new series has been conceived to be "a completely separate, third entity," Cooper said in an interview -- "much more so than Atlantis was. Atlantis was much more of a spin-off seires of SG-1 and was sort of born out of SG-1."

I've not seen SGU yet, but of course will soon. Anyone interested in telling me how much they enjoyed watching this show as compared to SG1 and SGA? Why or why you like it more or less? I know it is different. I'm all ears. Thanks.

It's difficult to compare the two. I like both, but for very different reasons. I haven't seen enough to really rank the shows in terms of entertainment as we've seen so little of SGU, but by the end I expect it to probably overtake Atlantis on my list, not sure about SG-1. What I would say is that if you're not interested in a more character driven sci-fi then this may not be for you, there is action and adventure, but it very much takes a back seat compared to the characters journey, both figuratively and literally.

where, when, why, what did he say!? Please tell the unprivileged folk a little bit. Robert Carlyle is indeed awesome, but not spoiler proofed I have seen maybe 7 Comic Con interviews with him, and now I think I know everything about S2 1.0.
And a Q&A with him would be great!

We chatted about his 24:Remeption role, and how I wished he made it into the actual season. He laughed and I said, I guess with "24" you have a 50/50 chance of surving, and those odds are not even that good, lol.
