Stargate Universe Shuttle pilots

In the episode of Stargate Universe Common Descent who was flying the shuttles to rescue Lt. Scott and the people on the planet, if Scott and Young are the only pilots.

Young? He was the one who recognized the blinking signal was Morse Code and there's nothing to suggest that Young stayed on the Destiny when the shuttle retrieved Scott, Greer, and the rest.

I wouldn't be surprised if they found time to give others some flight training, though. Rush was able to fly the shuttle toward the second Destiny and dock with the help of radio instructions in "Twin Destinies." Meanwhile, Scott's F-302 simulation training and initiative to teach himself to operate the shuttle may have made him the other other "qualified" pilot onboard, but I don't recall it ever being said that nobody had any prior aircraft flight experience. Letting the most qualified aircraft pilots or, if none existed, a few individuals with the most pilot aptitude, get some shuttle training time should have been a priority by season 2 as it would be important to train someone who could replace Scott if he was ever killed or incapacitated.
