Answer: Possibly not for the franchise, but certainly for me.

If SGU continues in the vein of "Space" I truly hopes he reconsiders. But I can tell inside he is upset with what went down with SGA. Maybe one day in the future we'll get the entire truth.

With their DVD revenue dropping so precipitously, and the ongoing financial um, "challenges", it's not hard to see why these new releases are not on the front burner. Although I wouldn't expect any action until the current issues are resolved, it really is my hope that at some time we'll see some progress.
        Thanks for the link.
It's strange cos if the DVD revenue drops and despite this they've just released the first part of sgu in DVD and blu-ray.??????? when SG1 and SGA couldn't benefit of this when they were filmed in the good format for this digital technology or they released one blu-ray for 2 SGA eps supposed being people choice. Hard to believe EATG was our choice for the best ep of 5th season.

After all he said about sgu he can defend the series so I think he will stay till the sgu end. I don't really think he was really upset by SGA cancellation exept maybe the fact TPTB gave him the possibilty to manage the movie and this postponement or cancellation could be disappointing for him. I think he will reconsider only for the movie not for another spin off.

Jean writes: “Creation just posted a notice that all the Stargate sets are in various stages of being struck (including the Atlantis set I presume). Does this mean no movie for sure?”

Answer: Many have weighed in with their assumptions on if and when the movies will be made and, at this point, given that we’ve received no official word either way, all I could add to debate is more conjecture. Suffice it to say I’d love to see both go into production, especially Stargate: Extinction since Paul and I have already written the script and are slated to produced it. As for the sets – the SG-1 set was struck to make room for Icarus Base while other stage space has been freed up in order to create more Destiny sets

                      I'm assuming it's both *shrugs*

I would get behind an SG-1 movie, but I would only get behind an SGA movie if JM and PM are not involved in it

Facebook is a good place to get the word out. My band has a page and that is how we get all of our info out to people. Good thinking.

Linda, you will love the SGA movie, Teyla will have a big part.

Teyla didn't have a big part S2-S5. Why would the movie be any different?

If folks want to mount a campaign, have fun

Let's keep this thread to planning what to do and keep all the 'it'll never work' stuff outta here. Don't care if someone thinks they're wasting thier time, it's their time to waste.

What is not on topic here is:

                            which forum is better
                            joe M's future
which group of fans is better
SGA's ending (the topic is a campaign, not why you feel you need one)
                            SGU

                            etc

Keep it about planning the campaign
Where in the World is George Hammond?

the plan should be to let ptb (mgm, whoever buys them, stargate producers) know we're still interested.

                              how to do that?

                              letter writing?

what i'm the most disappointed in, though, is it seems either a 'lot' of stargate fans have drifted away, or there really IS a lot of fans that just don't care anymore. how are we going to mount an 'interest' campaign if we don't have a lot of people behind it?

I would suggest, write letters to mgm

something simple like...printing out a stoplight with the green lit and saying 'please greenlight the SG1 and SGA movies'

                                and just end it there.

                                simple support.

no 34 page diatribes, no 'how dare you cancel my beloved show and not give me a movie'....nothing like that

                                just simple support

e-mails etc.....the networks/studios all know that fans can rig that. short snail mail letters resonate. simple statements like the suggested one above, that'll get noticed
