AoT has to take place before First Strike to account for Carter being on the midway station during it... I think, something like that anyway.

I liked Ark of Truth more than I liked Continuum.
And I believe that the reason for AoT taking place before "First Strike" has to do with the Odyssey not being there for "First Strike". But I can't remember offhand whether that's because it's still in the Ori galaxy, or being repaired after the on-ship incident in AoT (without spoiling it for the OP of this thread)."A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life

AoT however had plenty of merit and deserves (imo) a solid 6 or 7 out of ten as a film, regardless of it being Stargate. As a Stargate film, it's an 8/10 for me. Continuum getting a 5/10 from me.
