Freya making Jack uncomfortable -- and Anise will have to suffer. Didn't Martouf say they love as one? Obviously not the case here.

Daniel missing those Jack-moments, when he's obviously not listening to a word he says, toying with his yo-yo.

Those "feelings" getting in the way of things... Teal'c and Janet having front row seats. Awkward!

Random note: The costume designer should have been zatted. What the frell were they dressin Vanessa Angel in this time?! The back lacing was cool, but it loosens depending on the shot. I can only imagine how uncomfortable that must have been.

Well Martouf was the only significant threat to Jack getting Sam, IMO. What do you do with the competition? You kill them off.

As for the loving as one... Maybe its different for some.

With Jacob as the Tok'ra liaison there really wasn't that much use for Martouf anyway. Not even for Freya, who TPTB could have just as easily killed off but that wouldn't have much of an impact on viewers or the characters (because of Jolinar's memories in Sam) since Freya was just eye candy. There aren't any storylines after this episode that I think Martouf would have been perfect for nor can I think of anything they should have written to include more of this character. He'd played his part and was simply no longer useful (like Anise|Freya who we never see again), therefore it was a good idea to kill him off (for the emotional impact on viewers/characters) rather than just not use him in the future.

Aldwin, Delek, Jalen, Kanan, Khonsu, Korra, Malek, Ocker, Ren'al, Sina, Zarin... you name it! Those were all Tok'ra we've seen since Martouf died and the ones we met before his demise could have made a return too. Personally, I much prefer seeing other Tok'ra over constantly seeing the same two (Jacob and Martouf) considering the entire race is supposed to be allies with Earth.

The actress who played Lt Aster was fantastic.
"I thought we were just that good". Hmm remind you of anyone? Good thing they tested SG-1 because if the Goa'uld had access to Zatarc technology from the beginning, Kinsey would have been assassinated back in Politics.

Martouf had a big impact for the few episodes he appeared in, so it was sad to see him go. I was surprised we didn't hear from Lantash in this episode. Not enough money in the budget for the voice change thingy? Maybe Lantash was in a time-out like Anise
