no we already established that using a sarc to heal is not the same as using a sarc for prolonging life or torturing. I just mean that it was the task of the SG teams to find tech that could be useful, and there is no denying that in medical terms a sarc would be extremely useful. I feel they missed a trick there.

Thing is though,if they'd brought back a Sarc for usage at the SGC,there'd be no meaning to injuries or even death.

Send a team off-world and one or two get killed?
Drag them back, pop them into the Sarc for whatever time required and hey presto-back as good as new.

Oh and no need to have any Infirmary scenes,Fraiser,Warner,MacKenzie...no more angst,or grief,no more drama.Just a boringly safe show.

      Just saying.

Well, it's not like they could attack Sokar and steal his sarcophagus or something like that. They simply didn't have one. Plus, the few times they found one off-world it was usually in a dangerous situation and with a thing as heavy as a sarcophagus they would have needed to go back with more than one team and something like a bigger FRED to carry it.

The one belonging to Hathor (from Mexico) was destroyed and most likely its remains were sent to Area 51. The one in Need wasn't theirs to take, regardless of whether it was damaged beyond repair or not. It belonged to Princess Shyla and considering how crazy she was, I doubt the SGC would feel comfortable sending SG-1 or another team back in the hopes of negotiating for a destroyed sarcophagus with her. The other ones all belonged to Goa'uld if I'm not mistaken...
        Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20):
Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.

Yup. Heck iirc in Meridian, they DID discuss the chance of getting a sarc to save daniel.

An episode with a fair amount of moral dilemma's and how to treat your mortal enemy. Be the better person, but still... it's not easy. They got very little information out of him in the end. The fact that Apophis sent the signal himself was very clever. He knew he was a dead man, and yet he's still bend on taking the Tau'ri down with him. Too bad his plan failed.

Conflicting emotions much when they sent his dead body through the gate... knowing what's waiting for him on the other end.

Lantash was quite spirited when he's calling the Tau'ri idiots, especially Martouf's embarrassed reaction to it is giggle-worthy. Go JR Bourne for great acting!

I wonder what went through Fraiser's mind when she left the gate room after they sent Apophis back. *ponders*

I don't think of him in a negative light. He's just very outspoken and the other Tok'ra tend to regard him as perhaps slightly impulsive and strong-tempered. Doesn't make him a bad person.

I don't really think of him in a negative manner either, but that's probably how certain Tau'ri *cough* Jack *cough* view him.

Jack isn't a big fan of the Tok'ra at all. I doubt he really sees Lantash much differently than any of the others, especially at the time of this episode.
