You may be right. We know they recovered the two gliders. They were shown in "Touchstone" (During a scene at while they were at Area 51) and "Tangent" (they mentioned the two gliders were used to make the X-301). Maybe they latched onto the gliders and O'Neil and the others rode back to Earth still in the gliders.

g.The amazing, super-de-duper, clothes-mending sarcophagus! I want one of those. I'd never have to darn another sock again!
Ah zats, you don't shred the eps! I enjoy reading your thoughts...

Now about that sarc....*giggles* It seems that sometimes your clothes get fixed, sometimes they don't. Guess it depends on the sarc model one buys from the local underlord sarc dealer? Cheaper models don’t include costume repair….

I loved both this and its partner "Within the Serpents Grasp". One of my favorite parts is Daniel kicking some butt. Especially with the dual pistols (that was WTSG though).

I liked the part where Hammond was dressing down Samuels. Probably one of his best scenes!

I don't know why Bra'tac didn't kill Apophis when he had the chance. Sure he probably thought he was going to die, but why leave an escape route open?

I guess Ba'al's was a lesser model than Apophis's--I don't remember Jack's sweater mending in 'Abyss'.

Or else Ba'al's just an ornery little stinker...

Daniel with the dual pistols was really cool. I think security on Apophis's ship was really bad, no wait, it was nonexistent! But why would a 'God' need security? mumbles; stupid people think that apophis doesn't need bodygaurds... Hey, what if an ashrak went after him?

Great episode, though I do wonder how they covered up the unschedualed launch of a space shuttle.

Probably managed to pass it off as NASA frantically trying to fix something wrong with a satellite that would crash into Beijing unless immediately attended to or some such thing. NASA seems to screw up so often that I doubt the scenario would have raised too many eyebrows.

This was a cool episode. Nice 2 parter Bra'tac is a great character! On a genereal side note, there are too many episodes with the word 'Serpent' in the title

They could have easily fixed it with an extra line or two. Have Walter tell Hammond that the gliders had successfully docked for repairs or something like that. I can't fault them too much though because it set up the beautiful scene where O'Neill sees the sun rise over Earth and admits: "this wasn't such a bad day after all." Compare that with a more recent plot oversight like "Ex Deus Machina's" amazing disappearing building act, and it's not hard to see why I'm willing to overlook the minor defects in this episode.

Daniel's John Woo-style double-barreled pistols o' death are still super cool. This is one of Stargate's bests for sure, produced before SG-1 got so jaded about saving Earth all the time.
