We could always, right before activating the weapon, tell "our" Ascendants to descend. They could all descend back to Ancient form, ready to Ascend again at will. Then we'll wait for the Ori to come, activate the weapon and voila, Ori-kebabs.

It doesn't work that way. The weapon once turned on, must stay on. FOREVER. The Ori will not be destroyed as they cannot be destroyed, merely canceled. So if the Ancients did decide to descend, they could never ascend again, b/c the minute they did the weapon would cancel them as well.

Um... say what? Where the heck did you pull this information from?! We don't really know what the weapon does. All we know is that it cancels the Ascended beings somehow. Cancelling could mean killing.

And if we cancel them in their galaxy, then, well, "our" Acendants will still be fine.

Well I say we let daniel jackson set of the weapon in the ori galexy. May be that will finally kill, hell we have tried everthing else.

I think that the weapon will destroy the ancients, a few of them will probably deascend to help us deal with the ori followers, asuming that the ori decide to come themselfs into our galexy. Although we could have kick ask space batlle trying to invade the ori galexy, well at lease until the ori get board or we actually take care of some their toilet ships, and they decide to unlease their powers onto us.

What if Daniel willingly becomes a prior. We saw that when he confronted Morgan that hes getting pissed off with just following riddles. What if that Merlins Weapon there is not even real & once Daniel sees that he just gets pissed off to the point of no return & asks Adria to make him a prior so that he himself can kick some ancient ass for them not giving a **** about anything & the fact that the ancients do nothing (Adria even said so in an earlier episode) Daniel knows he as a prior would be able to do something to the lazy idiots who can not clean up their own messes
