                                Why didn't the Prior just uh, ...zap the pile of books with his Staff full of hocus pocus?

                                Why did he make the warriors pour accelerant on the mound of books and light it the non-Ori way? I mean, zapping it with his Prior abilities would have scared the villagers a little bit more than accelerant.
