Exactly! I'm sure the other Jaffa on the council were like - "Are you two nuts??"

They would have wanted to hang onto that weapon in case anyone messed with them. Something powerful they would have on their side.

Actually it was probably Gerak mainly wanting more power and all, oh and he and the other council members didn't trust Teal'c and Bratac anymore.

It all comes down to the nulcear disarming basics. The US and Russia have eenough nukes to blow up the world at least tens times. Then we say, lets diarm nukes. If you do, we will. (or how ever how it worked) But we can still blow up the world, same as Russia, dumb asses.
