They are already using Marines, as well.
I don't know, as much trouble as they have following AF policies, I think bringing in Army troops would confuse them even more. And the Army and the AF don't work well together.

I think SEALs are Navy, but if the Air Force were going to pull from the rest of the armed forces, I'd expect Marines first.

They can already do that without being specialized and having to make another prototype. All they need is to raise the shield, then they can submerge themselves.

A while ago, I suggested that they tow an aircraft carrier to pegasus. They can store more F-302's F-22's, F-14's, F-15's inside the
daedalus' fighter bays and inside the hangar in the carrier. This would serve as a platform for launching fighters, they could always outfit a carrier with a shield and then it might be able to submerge for some period of time. For this to work, they might need to make some sort of special prototype Nimitz Class Supercarrier. It would need to be 2.5 times the size of a regular Nimitz class supercarrier in order to store all the fighters. Should some emergency occur, they might need to quickly store all fighters on the deck, into the hangar bay, or vice versa. The top deck must have exactly the same area as the hangar. It would have a special drive pod that would submerge the entire carrier. If it would attempt it without a shield, obviously everything would have to be water tight which means the hangar bay would need doors. Got any additions, feel free to make them.

I'm hoping that SG1 will find some cool outpost or some cool technology on the moon that can onyl be activated by having soem sort of device made by Merlin, i mean it only makes sense that the Ancients went to the mood once coming to Earth since it was so close to us, you never know they may have placed defence weapons on it....personally i think it would be a very cool idea

Imagine tht, tht they have been looking for a weapon and it has been under the very noises, lol. I hope like the Agsard did, they Build the 305 the its solve purpose is to destory ori ships . or close enough because of our lack of knowledge of technology.

Well if Anubis was any indication, suprise attacks from behind should be capable of killing a prior, a nice .50 sniper bullet from a km away to the back of his head while he's busy fighting 500 guys in front of him would probably work

A weapon on the moon would be the last place an enemy would expect some sweet weapon to be.
