The Ori state that the Universe was obstructed from their view. I bet the Milky Way is beyond their light cone in the Ori Galaxy. That way they literally can't see the Milky Way. Remember: there is more to the universe than the visible universe.

I believe it to be likely that the Ori are from a galaxy outside of the Local Group. Likely in one of the nearest groups, but still several times further away than the Pegasus Galaxy's three million light years.
