You guys make an excellent point, but until the ori come in ships or through the stargate and kill billions. They'll be a toothless ememy. Another joke like the jaffa.

All those episodes you mention, the ori were beaten easily by sg1. Which makes them toothless. No power in this galaxy..or any other galaxy.

If it's ships you want, it's ships you'll get. Keep watching.

The only episodes where SG1 beat the Ori are Beachhead (which still resulted in a world being destroyed), TFH (which really doesn't count since Gerak, and not SG1 helped them)...isn't that it?

Ok look, you can make blanket arguments all you want. Give me some evidence to support what you're saying.

Really.... if you have a TV, cable, and a couch... sit and watch the episode Camelot.

Ori were beaten easily? What are you smoking? In 'Ethon' there was absolutely no "beating the Ori".

I think we have Troll here....

Most planets aren't as heavily populated as Earth, so if the Priors wiped one of them out, and they have done this, only a few hundred/thousand would die. The mistake TPTB have made is not showing the carnage, just mentioning it. If they hear a planet has been infected by an Ori plague there's little point to go there anyway, they can't do anything but risk their own lives for no gain.

Earth doesn't have contact with ALL planets. it's safe to assume that at least one has accepted Origin and as a result are not dead, or they didn't and are dead and we just don't know about it.

the real question is what is the damage threshold needed to be convinced they are a threat? Thousands have already died. The priors don't blow things up... why would you when you can use the infastructure after you conquer? They don't really want to kill everyone, they want to convert. Only if they fail to do so will they start with the slaughter... and it seems that's coming soon enough.

Not once did we see this supposed powerful ememy show off their power. The series has made the goa'uld a toothless ememy. The jaffa and goa'uld motherships are also joke. A member of sg1 can take on a mothership with no backup.

If the sgc is so powerful, how come the sgc dont even rule their entire planet. or better the galaxy. Or go the ori galaxy and wipe them out and ask the people in that galaxy to serve them.

Is the ori going to be another toothless ememy?? or are they going to at least injure a member of the sgc or the planet earth

I hope their warriors arent a joke like the jaffa.
Obviously you haven't been watching the same season 9 as we have. The Ori HAVE destroyed entire worlds in the Milky Way. We've even seen them do it (Beach Head)!

As for the destruction of the Gamma Site, that was the work of the (possible) Prior Bugs. Which wouldn't have made their way there had we not brought them there. So they weren't really directly responsible.

nope it was the combined efforts of asgard, tokra, tollan, alterran knowledge, rebel jaffa and replicators that beat the goauld. to a lesser extent earth.

If you want terrible defeats with a brand new cast every episode, watch re runs of of the Twilight Zone. Almost every time SG1 has won, it's been just by a hair. Nobody wants to see a main cast member die suddenly, and that's why in almost every show you watch, the good guys always win in the end.
