If Landry had done his job right (in which Sam would think he did) then using her password shouldn't have worked and she could have used her computer skills to give a corrupted file to Ba'al and save the hostages!
Then get us a new general - I know a guy

conflict makes it interesting. it gives us and the actor something to sink our teeth into

I think to comic books. I love batman. he's so dark and gritty adn conflicted. Trying to do good, but in a 'bad' way. ends justify the means in some ways. He's a hero but not perfect and not captain white bread...which is why he's so intrigueing to me

      then i think of superman.

invulnerable, mister clean cut, no conflicts, ends never justify the means, always does the 'right' thing....BORING

Cam is Superman, Jack was batman. cam's backstory has one little oops in it and even that oops wasn't his fault. Jack's back story is full of mistakes and miscalculations and dark secrets. Jack was fascinating because he was do conflicted and had such depth.

cam????? Cam is Captain Marvel, 7 year old billy batson that gets to live out his fantasy and play with the big kids, but who lacks the depth to really be any more than a figurehead

two more HUGE plot holes to add to teh mix

we shoud really start a list. See which episode has the most plot holes and then come up with an award or something.

maybe the Holeier than thou award for the author that produces the episode with the most unexplained plot holes

they assassinated hammond, novak, reynolds, daniel, walter and the others just to get thier laughs in on vala
Oh, don't remind me. I detest that episode. I have a headache now.

LOL. Yes, Jack is Batman! But don't pull on my Superman's cape. He has a disrespected alter ego. He has birth parent issues. He has Kryptonite!

You've brought up a classic writing technique that dates back to the Greek heroes. What we need is Cam's Kryptonite!

Personally, I'd like a sample of Vala's Kryptonite.

PU was just the first of many episodes where the characters are assassinated to facilitate the plot and the sloppy writing of said plot

bad, bad, bad leadership imho. If you're the show runner you're supposed to be taking care of these characters, not treating them like junk to make your writers' lives easier
IMO, everyone is fair game when it comes to making Vala look good. She struts thru the Stargate in S9, instead of arresting her they escort her up to the conference room. All is forgiven(or ignored) for the sake of the new storyline.

How about in Crusade, Vala is ordering Landry around like a servant. And he does it. What little respect I had for Landry was lost after that scene.

There are things that I find on the show that have many flaws, in the story line and the characters, but why should it be done they way we want it to be played out? It is fun to read others postings here, expressing their thoughts and complaints. It doesn't matter which way the story folds out. Either way fans are going to have opinions what they did or did not like about the show.
People aren't looking for a perfect show. They just want the writers to stay true to the show. That seems hard for them. People pick their favorite characters and they like the way the writers are taking them or they dislike it. The story will unfold in the manner the writers choose and people will like or dislike it. Sometimes the writers look at the posts from their fans and move the story lines to accomodate the fans wishes and sometimes they don't either way it lets people get their anger or happiness out about characters and find out how many people feel as they do. But thankfully people can express their opinions in an appropriate manner and if you really hate what the writers are doing you can stop watching the show. When that happens writers have to either change how they write it or the show gets cancelled. That is freedom of choice on all levels.

I didn't really like the last episode. Did they have to be incompetent (like SG:A) and let the clones escape? That sort of thing pisses me off. Other than that the episode was pretty entertaining and SG-1 is still miles better than Atlantis.

A damn good general who will call him on his @#$%^& behaviour and bust him back to the green captain he acts like. Someone of the calibre of Hammond or O'Neill

"I haven't been able to rewatch an episode as of yet, WHY when I think they are much better than S9? Perhaps it is the inkling that where S9 was the season of "here are our new characters, you will love them and forget about the others like we have", S10 seems to be shaping up as the season where "so you won't love our new characters like we do so we're going to destroy diminish trivialise (damn pick a word!!) all previous characters to make our bright and shiny new ones look good"."

                        Sad but so very true........

It also does not appear to be working.......

Why does it feel like it has come down to:
                        "new show vs. classic SG"
                        "new stars vs classic characters"
                        Within the TPTB? including writers.

no, actually i'm thinking of something nice. like the razzzies. which are an award for the worst fashion 'mistakes' in the year

it may be a serious subject, but i don't want it to take a mean turn. it should be fun.

Indeed it should be, as long as people can stay away from the "Pro/Anti" fights and follow the rules. Unfortunatly most people don't care for the rules, and simply start their fighting every where they can.
