I just re-read some of that "Threads...what's not to get" thread and I'm more confident than ever that TPTB actively made ship canon. Something JM said on the Solutions forum backs up the fact that Sam was NEVER going to end up with Pete. Further, JM said that "not exactly" did refer to Jack.

We knew that with RDA not on the active canvas that seeing ship portrayed would be darn near impossible. I'm still hoping for an RDA guest visit or 50 that could be used to solidify ship even further...but as shippers we have to just acknowledge fo the time being that she and Jack are exploring a relationship offscreen.

Further, Joe said he essentially wants the series to end with them getting together...so maybe more like Harm and Mac after all.

My point is, I've seen more and more negativity posted here on the shipper thread which is why I've posted less and less here. I mean I get the frustration...heck I feel it too...but what's the point of wallowing in it?

People should feel free to express their feelings and I'm for that of course but constant negativity is a surefire way to kill the shipper thread and that would break my heart.

So can I ask a favor? Can I make a plea for less negativity and for more positivity?

Let's celebrate Jack and Sam and the journey that took them from "I adore you already Captain" through to "There are no fish in this lake are there?"

We knew there'd be a dry spell without RDA around...so let's enjoy the memories that we have and the hope that before the show ends, we'll get to see something definitive about our favorite twosome.

Yeah, what Bri said. And FWIW I think that there should be a definitive ship scene now. It annoyed me to have S/J around when they were both in the show, I admit, but now that he's gone it makes no dramatic sense to leave it hanging and no dramatic sense to end it with no actual relationship. It needs to be made canon.

Hmmm, maybe I can say a few reasons...

1- GW has not been very nice lately. Sooooo slow !

2- Some of us are sleeping !

And even when we're not, RL keeps getting in the way of our shipping... *curses RL*
3- Über has said it better than I could in her latest post...

Wow ! I don't really know bri's thoughts on the subject (but after reading some of her past posts, I now have an idea) but I know yours.
Thanks. It means a lot to me, and to other shippers as well I think.

One of my best online GW friends is a non-shipper and we have already discussed about it. She and I agree on one point : we'd have liked to see a real resolution to the SJ ship. They are together or they are not. And we don't want a 'Not exactly' answer. We want a 'Yes' or a 'No'.
I think we're all adult enough to accept it, whatever the answer could be.

Madeline - I was really glad to read your thoughts on ship. It gives us a little glimmer of hope in a way since you're an anti shipper.

I think we're all in agreement that this storyline needs a resolution, and soon, if the show's going to move on. I'm never going to accept all the other changes otherwise.
