I openly admit that I am defensive about Vala...but I can usually shrug off the majority of questionable comments aimed her way...but that episode just has too much negativity that I have trouble NOT reacting to it strongly (but I don't necessarily think that's overreacting). However, I can't fault you for not seeing it where others do. As we've seen tonight, different comments can be interpreted in a myriad of different ways.

Oh, when I saw your post, I was listening Chris Cornell 'You Know My Name', you know last James Bond soundtrack. IMHO, it suits very well what you have in your mind

I've liked that song since I watched Casino Royale...but I was never sure exactly how to utilize it. Here's a video that features the song...it's the intro credits from Casino Royale (which I think is one of the coolest credit sequences!!)

OT, I've always liked the opening credits of Bonds. I also like Die Another Day much. But this one is my favorite one

Whenever I watch episodes, I try to see it from every character's perspective. Hence, why I'm more lenient on the team in Insiders than some people, and why I understand Daniel's position in Unending. But I'm sorry, I just couldn't see where ANYONE was coming from in BH...and that was the writer's fault. Sure, Daniel could have been frustrated by being chained to her for so long, but I got that from an MS interview not from the context of the episode. That was poor writing on BW's part.

Again, please don't think we all hate Daniel...because we do love him, we wouldn't be here otherwise. But as much as I can admit that Vala has a whole slew of hang-ups, I can admit that Daniel ain't no saint either. Please don't be turned off by some of the discussions! It's just that we've come across little moments in some episodes that are less than ideal! BH is probably the worst DV offender, so that's why you're seeing some negative comments aimed his way. Once we get further into the season that will dissipate. Heck, so far the discussions for this season have been pretty positive (especially in regards to D/V)

I know you don't hate Daniel! It's just that most of you are Vala fans rather than Daniel so you are more disposed toward Vala...nothing wrong with this

but, seems to me, that most of you are always a bit harsh with Daniel, even when he doesn't deserve it, like in FT. Now I post something that I PMed to ErinB, about their snarkiness and banter...
...and for Daniel snarkiness and Vala upsetting behaviour I like it because show me how equal they are and how comfortable they are with each other, Daniel, if he want, can be himself with Vala and Vala with Daniel, with Tomin she can't be herself....
In season 10 I miss a little bit all their banter and snarkiness and upsetting behaviour....but thanks god for Dominion and Unending!

You are so right!

You have to remember that I listened to it right after watching BH though, the anger seemed justified

But I actually prefer the happy vids myself anyway like your Avril Lavigne one

Ooooh hey, I don't know if this has ever been touched on before but has anyone else noticed that for a man who protests Vala's advances every step of the way, Daniel seems to have no problem with her invading his personal bubble?? How many times does she run her hand over his scruffy beard and lets it linger there without him reacting at all, he doesn't glare, doesn't move away, doesn't bat her hand off

EDIT: And I was just watching another vid and I noticed (for the millionth time) that, although Daniel pushes Vala away eventually when she's undoing his belt in Unending, she actually spends a lot of time there and he doesn't move until his belt is actually undone...I'll wait for that discussion to talk about it more but it's another aspect of Vala's touching him that he allows...

Umm, that was me again. I was just commenting that in season 9, Vala wears a lot of blue BDU pants and black tank tops and Cam wears the blues a lot too. But then in season 10, Vala wears a lot of the green BDU's and not so much with the tank tops anymore, but long sleeves and baggier shirts. Also Daniel is almost always in the greens. I guess my point was that maybe Vala wanted to dress to match her guy Cam in season 9 and then dressed to match Daniel in season 10??? It was just a guess I made cuz I can see a whole lot of cute moments between Vala and Cam in Season 9. Sorry about my ramblings.

Ok, I don't know if this was properly answered, but the season 10 credits changed for the Company of Thieves, the ep right after MM when Vala becomes a full-fledged member of SG-1

That's what I was thinking, which makes sense in light of MM...

Heh, y'know, I always thought she looked more like Aeryn in that scene with the Prior than she did Vala. Just me?

I was thinking about that, I'm not exactly sure when they last used the zats as more than stunners..

Oh yeah, I definitely saw Aeryn in the scene where Vala shoots the prior in TPTB. It was like, "Oooh, Aeryn, where'd you come from?"
