I wanted to mention it and I forgot. First time I saw concept art for it, I was like "This is a Stargate, Disney."
Apparently, there is also a Hammond type character in the movie lol.

Sort of--I guess--maybe in the beginning. Neither of the older type characters in Big Hero 6 end up like Hammond, IMO. But it's a really REALLY good movie, nonetheless.

Hi Shippers! I've missed you all!

School has just been kicking my butt. We are coming up on midterms and I'm at least a term behind. I start student teaching in a couple of weeks.

Despite the RL craziness I don't want to loose my S/J ship credentials. Therefore, I do plan to conduct a Shippy Madness tournament this year. For the uninitiated, around NCAA "March Madness" basketball championship tournament time each year we hold our own little competition for the Best of the Ship.

This year we will be voting on the best shippy episode of SG-1! Each day of the tournament I will post two episodes and you my lovely ship family can then vote for the one you think is the shippiest. You are encouraged to include your reasons for your choice and you may beg, cajole, or even bribe others to vote with you. The rounds are single elimination and we keep going until there is only one episode left standing. That episode will be declared this year's Best of the Ship!

To mix things up a little this year, instead of filling in the brackets myself, I'm going to let you help me decide which episodes will make the cut to compete in our low-stakes, high-fun tourney. We have 32 slots to fill. You may choose any SG-1 episodes you like, but remember they will be competing for the Best of the Ship so consider which episodes you think will be the most competitive. [Note: the order in which episodes are listed here will not necessarily be indicative of their position or match-ups when I put the brackets together.]

Rules:

Quote this list (remove the quote tags) and add your selection to the next open slot.
Please add only one episode at a time.
You may add more than one episode to the list, but please wait at least one turn. (If I add an episode to line 5, I wait until someone else has filled in line 6 before I add another choice.)
Do not repeat episodes (we need 32 separate episodes)! If the one you wanted was already listed, be happy; it's in the tournament! Choose another.
When all the slots are filled the selection is closed. Get your favorites in early.
Selection closes Friday, March 13. Any blank slots (hopefully there won't be any) will be filled in by yours truly.

The Shippy Madness tournament begins Sunday, March 15! Be sure to log on everyday to vote your favorite shippy episode on to victory!
