i have read them (several times in fact) and i agree with you, rachel did an excellent job telling the story between 2000 and 2010 and to me as well they are canon.

i am going to go with paradise lost on this one because once again sam has to rescue jack and once again it takes it toll on her. she basically argues with doctor lee about staying on the planet to find a way to rescue jack and then she breaks down in the locker room because she may have to deal with the fact that jack may not be coming back.

Much as I like Paradise Lost, I'm going with Descent. There's almost drowning together, and he tries to hold her up in spite of them running out of air space. And there's touching (patting her shoulder) to encourage her later when she's trying to get the door open.

This was a tough one! I think PL has to win in my book, though. She cries, and yells at Dr. Lee--and that shows the level of her attachment. I think that means more than the wonderful touching and banter in Descent. But what a choice!
