Sam Carter /Jack O'Neill Ship Appreciation Thread 2.0
Internet glitch stopped me from responding earlier. But you are all right. I love this scene because they are practically in each others laps and no one seems to notice or mind.
Since I just finished making it, I shall share my newest sig with you as your prize:
And a lovely sig it is! (Why do I always want to type, "loverly" like in "My Fair Lady"?)
Are you going to do "9", highland girl?
I've been trying, but nothing's coming to me.
I've had a weird couple of days. I went fic crazy yesterday. I wrote that little TAG to Forsaken then plotted out a 7 chapter monster (that I'm really excited about, though it will likely take me months to finish). I know some of you have written much longer fics, but that's huge for me. I've never written anything over a few thousand words, and the outline for this one is as long as any full story I've done before.
Tonight I'm in a PS mood again.
But lists just aren't happening for me ATM. I haven't even been capping pictures from the shippy list (with my own additions because my shippy glasses are a very strong perscription), which I had been doing quite regularly until recently. (I'm up to S6.) That's why I haven't done a guess the shippy moment in a while.

If you have a 9 in mind, I'd love to read it.
I know. And I spent all of today in a trial. It was frustrating and horrible and didn't go how I wanted it to, and I couldn't even check out (like I do with difficult quilts) to come here and get some happy infused back into my soul.
SO: I'll give "9" a shot.
Notable time periods for Sam/Jack
Fluff: right around 9 months.
Angst: nearly 9 years.
Gutter: 9 hours and counting . . .
But doesn't it look like Sam's got her knee up and Jack's elbow is right next to it??? I went back and watched it, doesn't look like it ever moves during the briefing.
*whistles innocently*
Just sayin'.
Or their arms are entwined just like their fingers!
OR
Jack's lookin kind surprised when Sam 'accidentally' rests her hand on his thigh. /gutter.
while reading another thread, a non shipper (note i didn't say anti) said he felt 'lost city' was the best, and he'd have been happy if the series ended on this episode.
how do you feel, as a 1- shipper, and 2- fan of the series?
Ahhh can you imagine Sam's face etched in your mind, the angst (shipper), and then what happened to Jack? (fan) It sort of left itself open for more. and no Threads (shipper). Full Circle I could have coped with - maybe, as a fan. Does that make sense?
Thanks everyone for being here! I've had a terrible, no good, awful, evil, wicked day, and it's wonderful to come here and read such happy shippy joy! Thanks! I appreciate it!
Hope the rest of week went better
And whilst dragging (!) my way through season 4 I'm now on the DVD which contains D&C, WoO, Watergate & The First Ones, a thought occurred to me, if I could only keep one DVD, which one would I keep. Would it be that one, but I love Solitudes, and CotG, and Small victories, how could I leave them behind?

I got called and sat in the room and waited for my turn. When my name was called I stood up and reported my name and occupation. The judge looked at my honkin' cast and arm sling and said, "Professor, you look as if you should be sitting on this side of the jury docket as a 'party' and not as a juror."
Without thinking I responded, "I'm fine, your Honor. You should see the other guy."
He had to cover the mic, he was laughing so hard.
I was excused from that jury (since I have a surgery consult next week), and he thanked me for making him laugh.

Oh, and the judge was Judge O'Neill (two L's).
If his first name was Jack that would've been even greater but I'm glad u had a stargate moment
