As some of you may remember, I did a "my favourite shippy moments" post a couple of days ago, and as I wanted to play around on gimp decided to use the first of those moments as practice...so pressies...

Didn't they take that line out of the new cut of Children of the Gods? That and the "reproductive organs" line. I remember being kind of irked about that (not the organs line--I always wondered how she could say that line without either laughing or upchucking).

They did take out of the recut - AT got bold after the episode and told them "Uh... people don't talk like that" LOL

Yes, that's gone too. To be honest, I don't miss the reproductive organ line at all but I sort of wish they'd left that in. Then again, if you don't like the new version you can always go back to the old.

Personally I like the new cut. I think Sam comes across as a much more competent person and the whole briefing scene feels more professional and the Sam/Jack relationship feels more like two people on a more even footing rather than Sam trying to play oneupmanship with a bunch of schoolboys (you can tell i never liked that scene much). Plus there's a lovely extended look between Sam and Jack that's shippier if anything.

I like the new cut better, too. I just wish they'd left in that one line--purely from a cutsie shipper stand point. I was thrilled when they came out with a new cut--without all the nudity--because that meant my kids could finally see it! And Sam is more well--rounded. But the extended look--I'll have to go back in search of it! My re-watch is almost over, anyway, and I get to start all over again! Yeah!
