Okay because Hedwig and yessika asked , another moment in Jack/Sam and their teenage daughter:

*Sam's getting ready in the kitchen to go grocery shopping*

Jasmine: Mom, can I have-
Sam: No.
Jasmine: But you didn't even listen! You never listen to me!
Sam: I'm sorry, sweetheart. What do you need?
Jasmine: I need 70 dollars for that awesome Marilyn Manson Junior concert!
Sam: Nahuh, no way.
Jasmine: But mom-

*grabs the key's to Jack's truck*

Sam: Hey, you wanna appeal to my decision, take it to the higher court. *pointing at Jack* I'll be back in an hour!
Jack: Don't forget the cake!
Sam: Never do! Love you!

Jasmine: Yo, Dad!
Jack: Is this a modern version to the knock-knock-who's-there game?
Jasmine: What? Anyway, mom said you have to give me 70 dollars for a concert.
Jack: Jas, I've known your mom's gorgeous baby blue eyes for over 25 years now, what makes you think I'm gonna fall for yours?
Jasmine: Because you love me?
Jack: Aw you know that I lo-
Jasmine: Cool! Can I have those 70 dollars now?
Jack: You should know by now that if your mom says, no, I say, no.
Jasmine: Oh, come on dad! You were "The Man" in the big ol' US of A. We got money.
Jack: No we got money, you're broke.
Jasmine: That's so not fair! I hate you!

*she storms off, making a point of stomping her feet on the stairs*

*leans back, reading his morning paper*
*his cell phone goes off*

Jack: Your daughter hates me.
*on phone* Sam: Well, that means we're doing it right. Hey, they've got the chocolate cake and the strawberry one. Which one do you want me to bring?
Jack: Chocolate. Oh and bring an extra can of whipped cream.
*on phone* Sam: Why would we need an extra can of whip-. Oh!
Jack: Yes.
*on phone* Sam: Gotta go, love ya.
Jack: Drive safe, bye.
*on phone* Sam: Bye.

*Jasmine's still stomping in her bedroom*

Jack: Hey! I got some winegrapes in the shed, you want to stomp those for me?!
Jasmine: I hate you!

*Jack smiles, continuing to read his paper*

Jack: I love you too, honey!

So.

Like I said, I've been in the cavern.

So, I guess I'm a little slow, but I've been wondering what was with the penguins. . .

And then someone (I can't remember who and I'm typing with a crying baby on my lap so I'm not going to go search) said that penguins mate for life--is that why they're so important on this thread?

And so I've been thinking about that today while I was working, and had to go grocery shopping and since school (Charter School for my kids--they had school today--long story) was a half day, I thought it would be fun to get them a happy meal for lunch (yes, I know--french fries, chemicals--whatever.) and what are the toys in Happy Meals? Penguins. And one of them is named KAWALSKY.

So, of course I'm wondering where Ferretti and the rest of the team are. Any why there aren't any Jack/Sam penguins.

And then my weird brain goes to that friends episode where Phoebe and Ross and Chandler are talking about Rachel and Phoebe says to Ross---"She's your lobster. It's a well known fact that lobsters fall in love and mate for life. You can see old lobsters walking around (and she holds up her hands like claws and awkwardly puts them together) holding claws."

So that brings me to whenever there was a shippy moment in SG-1 (or Bones), my spouse and I look at each other and make lobster claws out of our hands.

So--does anyone here do any penguin-y things? Maybe little tuxedos--walking around funny? Diving for--ah--Fish?

That, my new fangled friends, is the disturbing course of thoughts my mind takes some days. . .

I am both relieved and ashamed to have shared it with you all.
