In the audio commentaries was also mentioned that there was written kiss at some point in Beneath the Surface but they decided to not go there because it was obvious that they are together as Thera and Jonah and that there was Divide and Conquer and Window of Opportunity kiss before and they were afraid that it would turn out as S/J show too much.

JM always said that because they cut it, BtS didn't have quite the same emotional punch that it could have had - although I think AT and RDA did brilliantly because I still felt punched in the gut at the end

Well, tomorrow Rick and Amanda (and Michael) are doing a panel together, someone (not me, too shy) could ask them, if they (probably Amanda) can remember.
Any of you going to be there tomorrow (and asking a J/S question?)
I'm going to be wearing my shipper-shirt (so you can identify me), sitting on the upper level.

Rick's panel was great, he was the same goof as always, a very fun hour!
The opening cerrmony had Rick and Amanda standing next to each other a lot, talking and making each other laugh. The gate people in general (Shanks, Acovone and "Hathor" are also there) seemed very happy to see each other again, they kept hugging and goofing around.
I'm really lookig forward to the trio-panel tomorrow and I'm overly exited about the trio-shoot I'm going to do.
The whole thing's a great experience, I feel at home amongst those people.

It would be a great opportunity to get some disputes settled and legends cleared up...
What the lines were, how many takes Grace actually took, if there was an ILY in TBFTGOG... all kinds of interesting shipper-stuff. (I'm just not sure the rest of the audience would appreciate it as much as we would, they should do a shipper-panel, were they just answer our questions, we wouldn't have to be shy, 'cause we're all part of a family)

I don't "ship"-ship them either (RL shipping is creepy and way overstepping the boundaries), but I friend-ship them hard. They just bring that great chemistry and bond onto the screen an into the characters, where it's further developped, into the ship.

There was written dialogue in the script after the "No!" when Sam is trapped behind the forcefield abord Aphophis ship. And both actors have chosen the acting technique of saying the dialogue in their heads and let their body react to it without any words coming out. Which was exellent choice as the director (Martin Wood I think) pointed out. And I agree...I am just dying to know what was written there.

Whatever it was must have been quite something on Jack's part. I always thought Amanda's little gasp/hitch of breath as she looks at Jack was really odd... it was like she was reacting to a line of dialogue that wasn't said lol and now I know she was only it was in her head! Gah, I *so* want to know what he was going to say! I'm guessing something like

"NO! ....I won't leave you, Sam"
"If you don't leave now neither one of us is gonna make it out of here"
"I DON'T CARE! I don't care"
"Sir... you can still make it. Please."
"Not without you... never without you."
"I don't want to watch you die, Jack"
"And I don't want to leave without you"
"Jack, please-"
"I can't lose someone else I love"

Yup! I always thought that the engine room snuggling scene was a bit disjointed, like there was some build-up or conclusion that we missed. Having said that, I'm pretty sure they mentioned that Sam and Jack were supposed to *lovers*... and the repercussions would have been huge and disasterous if they had slept together. There's no going back from that IMO. Even if you try to pretend it never happened it either eats away at you slowly or makes you cold. Neither of those things are good.

MGM, Warner Bros Reboots Stargate

Tbh, I didn't even know there was a series because I wasn't all that enthralled with the original movie. The only reason I appreciate the movie now (which I haven't watched in a decade, unlike the series), is because it kicked off the best TV franchise ever (and the best ship IMO LOL).

I was cool with the Star Trek reboot and loved it. I don't know if my heart can take an SG reboot

or maybe mgm will let fandemonium (sp?) tackle confirmation, now that they're letting those two depth-of-puddle producers take over the stargate franchise.

would confirmation in book form be enough? as long as mgm declares it canon, i guess so...

but that's all maybes and hopes. now we're stuck with mgm giving the franchise back to the uninspired dudes. with no sam carter or teal'c. and no confirmation hopes.

I'd like them to take the scripts that were originally written and turn them into novels. I'd read that and I haven't read any of the books.

Siiiiigh. Reboots are all the rage these days. I'm not sure if I could enjoy it even if it was the best movie evaaaah. And that's saying something. I adored SGU
