i just finished reading a four-part fic that made me really happy, so i'm sharing.

From the appearance of Landry as an old man, it's my opinion he must have been well into his 80's (maybe 90's) by the time he died. Sam wasn't looking all that young herself with all those wrinkles and long white hair. Landry was about 60 at the time of "Unending" (IMO), so 20-30 years down the road on the Odyssey would have made him an old man. So, except for stranding them on the ship (which she had no choice about - it was either do it or die), Sam had no reason to feel guilty about stranding them there. Had she not, they'd all have died right away.

But she could have reason to feel guilty that she hadn't done more to get out them out of the bubble sooner so that Landry could've spent his last days on earth. The bubble was only conceived as a temporary solution until Sam came up with something better.

Knowing Sam, she probably shouldered more guilt/perceived responsibility than was healthy. Especially without Jack there to counter balance her viewpoint. Remember in Redemption part II, how she felt when everyone was looking to her for an answer...

Killing off the Asgard was worse than killing off the Abdoyians and Robert C. Cooper wrote that episode too.

He wrote that one too?! When I first saw it, I couldn't believe that Skaara had been saved from his Gou'ald only to die like that. Even if Oma did "save" them.



The storylines with the Asgard had the potential to go SO much further!!! I wish that they had simply found a solution to the cloning and gotten over that tired storyline and started a new one.

I think a S/J baby would be a further step in the evolution of the humans and it would help the Asgard to find a solution to their problem!

I agree. 100%. What a loss. I hated to see the Asgard killed off. And that last episode wasn't my favorite for sure..
