Do not complain! Seriously, I'm lucky to get a dozen reviews on any given story... 20? That's mighty impressive! What's your secret?

Secret? Persistence? I have all my friends log in and then I pay them. No, really. I don't know. I'm pretty surprised, to tell you the truth. My husband thinks it's a joke.

Anyhow, I'm not complaining, I just knew that there were things being left for me, and I'm not getting them--story alerts, fav story alerts, that sort of thing. . .I just love opening my email box and seeing a few goodies instead of Viagra ads.

I know it is my birthday, but I decided to make something today to share with everyone. I think this one might be it for awhile. I need to pace myself. Here is my latest sig.

It is another episode sig. I found all the pics from Season 5 Revelations. Jack was making all these different faces and Sam kind of puckers her lips like she wants to kiss every single one of them. It gave me the idea to make this.

BTW, Happy Birthday to Nell, my sister from another mother (and father).

Thank you, kusanagi. I am sure someone could make one for you or just find one that you really like (love) and ask if you can use it. Just make sure you credit them when you do. There are a lot of great and talented artists in this thread and other threads.

The alerts go down fairly regularly at the mo I think they're having capacity issues or something...

You can still read the reviews on the site but there is nothing like the little message saying 'you've got mail'...ah well.

I have to admit, as much as I love my reviews (I'm as much of a junkie as anyone else), I tend to look at the visitor stats more as an indicator of how much a fic is being read. Hits is slightly misleading.

The difference between visitors/hits and reviews is usually vast - less than 10% of hits usually.

But then I only review when I'm really moved by a fic so I can't complain that others seem to choose to do the same, although admittedly I adore my regular reviewers who review everything (((hugs reviewers))).

And to be somewhat on topic I've been playing with gimp ahead of Valenship and thought I'd share some practice icon efforts...WOO was the recent episode we were discussing on the discussion thread so I used that as a basis...

I'm assuming that's normal, since very few people who read the stories actually leave reviews. I don't know what that means, though. Whether all those non-reviewers don't like the story or don't know what to say or like the story and still don't know what to say or don't have time to leave a review. I'd be curious to know, though.

About a month ago I was watching one of the ComicCon Sanctuary panel videos with AT on it and my 6 year-old daughter was on my lap watching, too. Now, you have to understand, my kids have seen a lot (I mean... A LOT...) of both Helen and Sam. About ten minutes in she suddenly said, "Hey! That's the person who play's Helen..."

My 9 year-old son looked up at the screen. "Oh.. yeah."

About five minutes later, my daughter said, "Mom.... Know what?... I think she's Samantha Carter, too..."

My 9 year-old glanced up at the TV briefly, then looked at his sister in disgust. "Don't be stupid."
