it's 10 years in the future and Sam is married to an Ambasador called Joe Faxon. It's clear that Jack stopped speaking to SG-1 a long time ago and there's blatantly some friction about the fact that Sam didn't believe Jack about the Aschen being evil and that she married someone else. He's living at the cabin, looking like a hobo in a lumberjack shirt, scruffy jeans and a beard and he generally just looks like the bitter old man that he is about being alone.

Re: Jack feeling inadequate:

To me it's pretty obvious that he puts her on a bit of a pedastal at times. She's young and beautiful and kind and all of those good things but to me it's inherent in the way he treats her. It's the way he looks at her, it's the way he's always putting her first.

In D&C he says that Sam's brain is worth more than his. Yes, tactically, her brain may be worth more but there's layers to Jack's words here that are obvious by the looks on Janet and Daniel's faces. *He* believes that she's worth more than him.

As pointed out, he calls her a "natural resource/National Treasure" and says that he's expendable whereas she isn't.

In "2010" he also agrees to leave Sam out of it when he knows what they're planning will probably mean them dying for the cause (kind of a moot point since if it works none of them will exist anyway) and does it himself.

Some may say it's a command thing and, yes that's part of it for sure, but to Jack she's more important to him than his own life. Makes me think of the Michael Buble lyrics:

Yeah, I guess it was very unexpected for him to find Sam already there and seemingly in conversation with Jack (and sitting very close to him), because he probably thought they'd never get their act together!

By the way, I've wanted to green a couple of your posts of today but I've got to spread it around first, apparently.

You probably already know this, but you're allowed to give up to 15 "greens" per day, but you can't "green" anyone twice within that 15 or on the same day.

I've just noticed quite a few people commenting on how they can't green someone for some reason and thought I'd mention it.

Here's my deal: There's no way he didn't notice Sam's car outside Jack's house, so he had to know she was there. He should have just kept driving and let something happen for him to interrupt
