Yeah, I already emailed the governor about requesting this area be declared a federal disaster area so we can get some kind of aid in fixing things up. I was able to save most of the water unfriendly items and we shut of the electricity to the house and left.
I am watching the news now and this is bad for around here. The news said 8 inches of rain in a matter of hours. One town alone was 400 evacuations today, and I am talking small towns here. Several people have died in the towns around here so damage to my house isn't seeming all that important right now.

But I am moving to NC in a few weeks so I won't be living in this house for much longer.

Good news, I am on high speed internet for tonight, maybe tomorrow.

Bad news, I am in a motel because my house flooded from this storm that just went by.

I have lost some stuff and it appears as though there is structural damage to that side of the house. But, it isn't a major loss and we are all safe, better than I can say about some others. I watched the news earlier, a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old died in the flooding in a town not far from here.
I will be in Barbank if I have to sell my blond brother to the Mexicans.
