Actually you can buy the Starburst editions which are very inexpensive and have lots of extras. I think you can get them for around $20-30, Sybil is much more knowledgeable because she has purchased them. I forget how many episodes you get but you at least half a dozen I believe. That might be the way to go. I bought the box set and yes it was expensive but I had to have the series so I didn't care about the expense. I don't have expensive hobbies and am very low maintenance for my husband so to spend that money wasn't a big deal. Thanks! I'll do that. My husband doesn't understand how I can like Sci-fi. So I'm limited in how much I can get away with. But I do have the complete SG1 series on DVD.

May I recommend Netflix! It is great for catching TV shows you missed the first time around! And they are right, start with the premire and watch it in order. It is definately great TV and worth the time.Originally posted by closetfanComment

as for the Starburst editions, they are cheaper per set, bu you only get 7 episodes per set. I just bought S1 over the summer on e-bay and payed $70 for all 3 sets of the first season. ebay was the best place i found to get them, and trust me, i shopped around..
