          I think the spelling is Ba'al in mythology, and at least on some of the official stuff. I'm not sure if I've ever seen it Baal except in fan-created interviews/reviews/posts...but I wouldn't bet on my being right.

              Just an FYI. The reason you see Ba'al with that little tuft of hair under his lip in the movie when it wasn't there during the last episodes of StarGate is for this reason:

              Cliff decided during season 9 and 10 of Stargate, that removing the little tuft showed that time had passed and Ba'al had changed a bit. However, I raised the suggestion that everybody preferred the tuft of hair on a website where Cliff answers fan questions. And so Cliff suggested that people vote. The vote was overwhelming in favor of the little tuft of hair. So, in the movie, Continnum, that cute little bit of hair is back.

                        What's the glowing sphere on the table in front of Nerus?

                          A device Nerus claims to have invented. It shows a holographic representation of a planet with some Jaffa activity (presumably it can be used to show anything recorded that way). I think he is showing them a large force field someone made on that world - that's the blue area to the left. I think that is where the Ori is messing around and want to open a gate to their galaxy or something.
