Hey all–
I'm new here and just wanted to post some fanart based off a fanfic I'm writing. Why? I really don't think I need any other reason than Jonas Quinn is hot.
Mod edit : ^IMG tags aren't working.
Let's try url code...

Anyone see Star-ving? It's pretty unbelievably bad, and not in a good way. It's seems like basically racist pornography...
To be honest, Corin's lost me as a fan from his role here. Obviously it's a fictionalized version of himself, but it's still pretty unbelievable any actor would take a part like that.
Considering it sounds like he wrote his own lines, I have a hard time picturing someone like Amanda even working with someone like him. As it's the 21st century, it's been a good few decades since a White guy calling a Black guy the "n" word was considered humorous...Last edited by Ripple in Space; 28 July 2013, 10:51 AM.sigpic"Most of our John Sheppard impressions sound more like a demented Jimmy Stewart than Joe Flanigan."

I haven't seen a single episode - and don't think I will, it doesn't seem to be my cup of tea - but I've googled it and the reviews are positive...

Considering the show is free, online, and only a few minutes long, I strongly encourage you to watch the first episode or two; and not take the word of Corin's mom and the president of his fan club that it's amazing.
Heck, if I joined fan clubs, I would've been happy to join Corin's before I saw this. Honestly, I think Mel Gibson & Charlie Sheen seem like disturbed mean-spirited people, but I still enjoy some of their work--this was so bad, I don't think I could even look at Corin's face again.
If you HATE good writing, dialogue that flows, plots that make sense, Black Americans, the physically disabled, and the mentally disabled, you will love this series.

Personally, sure many things disgust me too, but this was the only series I've seen in my entire life that I would consider unwatchable. Though most shows I watch are on TV, there are dumb YouTube, Netflix, and even Crackle series that I really enjoy. When a relative watches a silly Disney show, I'll glance at it, and find some amusement, but Nemec's Star-ving is just the worst show I've ever seen, period.Last edited by Ripple in Space; 09 August 2013, 07:27 PM.sigpic"Most of our John Sheppard impressions sound more like a demented Jimmy Stewart than Joe Flanigan."

I think from a quick glance at Corin's Twitter that his humour and mine would never gel....I really can't understand 90% of his tweets, or find them funny....I think the "Your mama is so fat" ones turned me off right away....I won't be following him...I'll stick to enjoying him on SG1 as Jonas and in some of the Sci-Fi films I occasionally see on SyFy UK Channel... although after one viewing of "Sand Sharks" I'm gonna pass on that one again...

I have to confess, I found him a little... odd when I met him at a con once. He was pleasant and everything but I didn't really "get" him. I dunno, I guess I put it down to him being an arty type with his bizarre poetry reading. Not my thing, really.
I can see why it seemed as though he didn't really click with the rest of the cast. Having said that, I actually liked Jonas immensely as a character. He was about the best "not-Daniel" they could have found.Sam and Jack... Still the best romance on TV in years!
