True, but Garshaw came around to the Tau'ri eventually - she reminds me of Malek, actually. He was cautious to the Tau'ri (and Jaffa) as well, but ended up respecting them.

I think Garshaw is just a cautious type - maybe she is a former Goa'uld as well? Like maybe Jolinar? She does have the "of Belote" which most Tok'ra don't. She was/is (is she still alive?) the most hunted of all time, so I guess you have to be a tough guy for that. Also, from her reaction to the information that the Tau'ri had destroyed Apophis's ship around Earth, I gathered she had personal friends on that ship - she seems rather angry that they lost 2 operatives there, while Martouf/Lantash only say it's nice to know what happened to them. (Or something, it's been a while since I watched Tok'ra I&II).

Well, she's still better off than Anise. Anise was first of the Tok'ra, who indicated a change of our beloved species. It was first sign that they'd make Tok'ra to look like jerks, which was very disappointing. :-/

There's a site somewhere selling resin zats for fairly decent prices - it's a cast of the official limited edition zat and comes with tips on how to go about painting it, I'll see if I can dig it up again. I probably linked it on the Tok'ra page over on Facebook...
I still need to do my project of using that resin model I bought to build an electronic open/close/fire-with-LEDs-and-sounds zat. I promised I'd post pics and a full how-to and I still haven't started :-(

There's no hurry, Jalnor I've thought about making a zat for years, and I haven't gotten started either. If you get one done, then I'd love to read a tutorial for it!

They mention buying the resin cast from someone called Frontier Models. Are they the ones you had seen? Maybe not, since there are no description there for how to paint the zats.

Yeah, Frontier Models is the one... it's not so much a zat-painting tutorial on their site as it is a generic printed tutorial on how to prepare and paint resin models. Comes free with all their models.
However, I've got several online acquaintances musing on the idea and I've thought of someone at work who'll have some useful knowledge... so who knows what might happen now? :-D
