I say make him come back in the 3rd movie nobody ever dies in sci-fi lol. I always thought he was better for Sam than Jack but, that's just me.

No. not just you. I agree totally! Martouf/Lantash are MUCH better for Sam than Jack, IMHO. And yes, I SO wish he would come back in the 3rd SG-1 movie. Either change the timeline or have him visit from another universe or something - just let him be the same.
