Please be kind, this is the first poem I have written and I don't think it's very good. But I thought I would share it anyway.
It's a poem for Ba’al. Inspired by a dream I had last night.

Ba'al why have you forsaken me?

That night we met, I had fallen in love,
And the feeling, it was unbelievably strong,
We had met in the skies so high up above,
And then without word or reason, he’d gone.

That night he left me, alone in his bed,
Outside he went, without telling me why,
I wish I had followed, to where he had led,
Because in his great ship, he took to the sky.

Outside I went, now ready to follow,
But he was far gone, nowhere in sight,
So now my heart feels broken and hollow,
My love is gone far up into the night.

I knew he was gone up into the heavens,
In his great ship, he had taken flight,
For weeks I called his name and did I mention,
I searched every day and into the night.

All alone I now sit, wondering what I had said,
And my lonely tears fall down to the ground,
I still remember his warmth, as held me in bed,
But search as I might he was never found,

My love, my God, my wonderful Ba’al,
Why have you forsaken me?
For now I’m sliding into hell,
Please return and set me free.

I think it's very good, M.A.

It reminds me of something that happened to me, and is, therefore, hauntingly familiar. Except, there was no spaceship involved, or bed. But, I did get dumped in a way. So.....
